Act I — In the Shadow of Ruins
Act I — In the Shadow of Ruins
The world burns, and its ruins stand silent, awaiting final judgment. As the apocalypse consumes the land, only faith, forged in the fires of battle, remains. The Templar sets out on a mission with a clear purpose - to find the source of the destruction and fulfill the will of the Order. Before him lie the remnants of a fallen world, where something more than chaos and death lurks. Every step leads deeper into the darkness, where a truth long hidden from human eyes awaits.

Level 2 — The Beginning of the Hunt
The wasteland leads me toward Blackwater. The Crux weighs on my back like a final judgment. I do not know what happened here, but I must see it myself. Whatever began in this place must end with me.
Level 3 — First Blood
I enter Blackwater. The city is dead - no bodies, no signs of struggle. Only burned streets and drifting ash. Something came here and erased everything in silence deeper than death.
Level 4 — Echoes of the Past
Homes stand hollow, untouched, abandoned without reason. No blood, no panic. The people simply vanished. To understand what happened, I need to reach the abbey’s chapel. Answers must lie within.
Level 5 — Into the City
Ruins stretch before me. The wind drags dust across the stones as if pointing the way. The chapel should have been a refuge. Instead, it feels like the city’s final secret. If anyone survived, I will find traces there.
Level 6 — The Last Bastion
The market square is deserted. Shattered saintly statues lie broken, undefended. Where is the bishop? He led the abbey - he should have stood against this. His absence troubles me more than the silence.
Level 7 — The Burned Chapel
The chapel is defiled from within. Ritual marks, clawed walls, burned scriptures. This was no attack - these were preparations. The monks opened a path for something unholy. And the bishop must have known.
Level 8 — The Forbidden Sanctum
Beneath the altar I find ritual circles, blood, and blasphemous scripture. This was deliberate. The abbey summoned the demons. And the bishop - missing, unaccounted for - must have fled to the cathedral to finish what began here.
Level 9 — The Forgotten Path
The tunnels lead me back toward the surface. Betrayal was born in these depths. If the bishop still lives, he alone can answer for what he unleashed. The cathedral is now my destination.
Level 10 — The City Center
I emerge into an empty square. Blackwater remains silent - its people gone without trace. Only one place could have sheltered them or consumed them: the cathedral towering over the ruins. That is where the truth waits.
Level 11 — The Ruined Road
The road to the cathedral is deserted. No survivors fled this way. It is as if the city was swallowed whole. If the bishop abandoned his flock or offered them up, I will learn the reason within those walls.
Level 12 — The Silent Fields
Broken monuments line the path, their faces erased as if someone wished to wipe away all memory. I feel the echo of a prayer twisted toward the abyss. Blackwater was the first to fall. It will not be the last.
Level 13 — The Last Approach
The cathedral rises like a dead titan. Its walls endure, held together by the same force that burned the city. There I will find what remains of the abbey’s faith - and the truth behind their corruption.
Level 14 — Before the Gates
I stand before the massive gates. The stone trembles with dark energy. The monks’ betrayal was only the beginning. Whatever waits inside, I cannot turn away. Judgment demands entry.
Level 15 — The Cathedral
A demon stands before the entrance, guardian of the ritual the abbey began. Its body burns with the same power that consumed Blackwater. To enter the cathedral and confront the truth, I must destroy it.

Act II — Reclaiming the Sanctum
Act II — Reclaiming the Sanctum
The battle for the cathedral begins. Once a sacred fortress, it now stands defiled, its halls echoing with the remnants of a broken faith. Step by step, the Templar must cleanse its grounds, driving back the corruption that has taken root. But in the depths of these desecrated walls, something remains hidden - waiting to be uncovered.

Level 2 — Heart of Betrayal
The cathedral stands open, as if awaiting my questions. I enter to find the bishop’s chambers and learn why he betrayed the world. Redemption begins with truth.
Level 3 — Throne of the Liars
Before the clergy’s throne, symbols twist the sacred word. Lies grew here for years. The bishop hid more than blasphemy.
Level 4 — Chapel of Broken Faith
Faith was shattered in this chapel. Burn marks and ritual traces defile every corner. Someone weaponized holiness. The bishop must have passed through here.
Level 5 — Bishop’s Chambers
The chambers are ransacked, yet hidden drawers hold forbidden texts. The bishop acted with intent. He sought power not found in God.
Level 6 — Library of Heresy
The library holds records proving his contact with a demon. Page after page speaks of knowledge gained through sin. Everything leads to one ritual.
Level 7 — Chamber of Forbidden Texts
A massive pentagram fills the room. This is where he communed with the demon. His writings describe the Blood Ritual - and an entrance to the catacombs beneath the cemetery chapel.
Level 8 — Cathedral Courtyard
I step into the courtyard. Demonic markings point in one direction. The path to the cemetery feels guarded, as if hiding something crucial.
Level 9 — Path to the Cemetery
The road winds through ruins. More demons gather the closer I get. All forces seem drawn to the chapel ahead.
Level 10 — Cemetery
The cemetery’s chapel is heavily guarded by demonic creatures. Every trail leads here. If the entrance to the catacombs exists, this is where I will find it.
Level 11 — Crypt
Beneath the chapel lies a crypt overflowing with bones. Far more than a cemetery should hold. Layers of skulls and broken ribs form unnatural piles. There are more bodies here than there should ever be.
Level 12 — Prison of the Heretics
Deeper within, narrow corridors hide abandoned cells. Chains and claw marks remain. These people weren’t heretics - they were victims. Their blood served a purpose.
Level 13 — Sacrificial Chamber
A sacrificial hall drenched in blood. For years, victims were slaughtered to feed the ritual. Their lives powered the bishop’s twisted design.
Level 14 — Hall of Blood
Vast stone channels guide ancient blood into reservoirs. This was no offering - it was fuel. The ritual was a machine built from suffering.
Level 15 — Hidden Passage
At the crypt’s end sits the bishop, guarding a sealed passage behind his throne. His body cracks with crimson power, his gaze fixed on me with fanatic certainty. Whatever he protects must be the heart of all this. I cannot let him stand in my way.

Act III — Catacombs of Blood
Act III — Catacombs of Blood
The cathedral is reclaimed, but its secrets remain. Beneath its foundations lies a hidden passage, long concealed and fiercely guarded by the Bishop. This was no place of worship, but a path leading far below the sacred walls - into depths untouched by light and forgotten by faith. Step by step, the Templar descends into the catacombs, where something older than the Church itself begins to stir. What was once hidden now calls to be uncovered.

Step by step, the Templar descends into the catacombs, where something older than the Church itself begins to stir. What was once hidden now calls to be uncovered.
Level 2 — The Long Descent
The corridor stretches deep beneath the cathedral, older than the structures above it. These tunnels were not built by the Church. The walls carry markings I do not recognize, carved long before the abbey claimed this place.
Level 3 — The Blood Archives
I find a hidden library buried beneath layers of stone. The records speak of a secret order - the Brotherhood of Blood. They operated outside the Church, keeping knowledge that was never meant to be shared.
Level 4 — Sanctum of the First Order
This was their sanctum. The Brotherhood of Blood once stood against something far worse than what I have seen. They did not just survive the first outbreak - they stopped it. The world owes its existence to them.
Level 5 — The Forbidden Language
The writings of the Brotherhood of Blood describe what they brought back from that war. Not weapons, not relics - but a language. The language of demons. They studied it, recorded it, and used it to understand the enemy.
Level 6 — Blood as Salvation
The Brotherhood of Blood learned that strength alone would not be enough. To close the path to hell, they used the blood of demons. It gave them the power they needed - but it came with a cost they could not control.
Level 7 — Corruption of Faith
The blood changed them. The Brotherhood began to shift, their beliefs twisting into something else. What began as a mission to protect the world became something different. They no longer followed the same faith.
Level 8 — The First Experiments
The Brotherhood began experimenting on themselves and others. New members were not recruited - they were transformed. Flesh altered, blood replaced. The order was no longer human.
Level 9 — Brother of the Abyss
One of the Brothers stands before me. He does not hesitate. He believes completely in what they have become. To him, the invasion of demons is not a threat - it is the only way to cleanse the world.
Level 10 — The 400-Year Cycle
The records of the Brotherhood of Blood speak of a Gregorian cycle - four hundred years. The same date returns, again and again. The first breach came in 1666. Now, in 2066, the conditions align once more. This was never random.
Level 11 — Descent to the Caves
The path leads deeper into natural caves beneath the catacombs. The ritual requires more than power - it requires the blood of the innocent. Blood tied to something older. Blood from Blackwater.
Level 12 — Harvest of Blackwater
The bishop helped them. He gathered the people of Blackwater and brought them here. They were imprisoned, drained, and used. Their blood now flows through this place, feeding the ritual.
Level 13 — The Living Depths
The caves begin to change. Stone gives way to something alive. The walls pulse, the ground breathes. This is no longer just a ritual site. Hell has already begun to take hold.
Level 14 — The Threshold
The structures ahead are not built - they are grown. Bone, flesh, and flowing blood form a single system. The air burns with heat. Whatever lies beyond this point is no longer contained.
Level 15 — The Open Gate
Portal to hell stands open. Not broken, not forced - opened as intended. Two Brothers of Blood remain to guard it. If I am to stop what comes next, I must pass through them.

Act IV — Into Hell
Act IV — Into Hell
The gate to hell stands open. Not as a wound, but as a passage. The Templar steps beyond it, leaving the world behind. This is no corruption spreading from afar - this is hell itself, whole and unbroken. The Brotherhood of Blood came here long before. They fought, endured, and fell, their remains scattered along a path that leads ever deeper. Yet they endured long enough to leave something behind. If there is a way to close the gate, it lies somewhere within this place.

Level 2 — Remains of the Brotherhood
The Brotherhood of Blood was here long before me.  They entered this place centuries ago and fought the demons… but they never stood a chance. Piles of bodies, shattered armor, and broken weapons lie where they fell. This was not a retreat. This was annihilation.
Level 3 — The Camp
I find the remains of their camp. This was not a short war, nor an easy one. The Brotherhood of Blood held their ground and endured far longer than they should have in a place that was never meant for them. From their writings, one truth becomes clear. They knew this war was unwinnable.
Level 4 — The Truth of Their Arrival
My brothers were here four hundred years ago, when the portal to hell was last opened. They found a way to close it. If I search among the bodies and what remains of their path, I may yet uncover how they succeeded.
Level 5 — The Ritual
The Brotherhood discovered that the portal feeds on blood, but its stability on this side depends on something far more specific. The blood of the Gatekeepers - Malach, Azrael, and Raziel. Without it, the gate cannot hold. If it is to be closed, their blood must be taken.
Level 6 — The Dividing Path
According to the notes of the Brotherhood of Blood, each of the Gatekeepers resides in a deeper Field of hell. The first lies ahead, within the Fields of the Pyre. This is where their path led them first… and where it began to fall apart.
Level 7 — Demon Blood
The Brotherhood learned that demon blood could grant them strength, a chance in a war they were destined to lose. They chose to drink it. I do not need their path. The Crux on my back guides me toward truth. With its power, I will overcome whatever stands before me.
Level 8 — The False Herald
Malach was never meant to guard hell. His name belongs to scripture, to one who prepares the way for the Lord. Yet here he stands, shaping the fire, deciding who may pass. Perhaps this place was always part of that design.
Level 9 — The Keeper of the Pyre
The being speaks. It was given its purpose by its Lord, to open the way for those allowed to pass. The fire bends to its will, clearing the path or sealing it shut. If I am to go deeper, I must defeat the one who guards the gate.
Level 10 — The Bound Souls
The flames withdraw, revealing the path into the Fields of Judgment. I move with caution. The walls are not stone alone. Shapes remain within them, twisted and still. Souls bound into silent forms, as if something here decided they could go no further.
Level 11 — The Angel of Death
Azrael. I remember his name from scripture. The Angel of Death, meant to guide souls to the other side. He should not be here. Why does an angel stand in hell? Does he still serve the will of God even in this place?
Level 12 — Held by Death
I must go deeper, but Azrael holds the path. He was meant to guide the dead, not face the living. Bringing him down will not be easy. He endures far beyond anything I have faced. Only the Crux remains. It must be enough.
Level 13 — Sanctuary Below
The path leads to a sanctuary. Its form is familiar, like the churches of our world… or their origin. This place should be unholy. Yet the presence I feel here is not absence, but something far stronger.
Level 14 — The Keeper of Knowledge
Raziel is close. An archangel, keeper of knowledge and wisdom. If he stands this deep, then the truth lies below. Yet what unsettles me most is this presence. My Crux trembles with power. I should not feel this in hell… yet I do.
Level 15 — The Archangel
An archangel stands before me, not a demon. The presence of God fills this place. It should not be here, yet it is undeniable. If the Bishop and the Brotherhood were right… then this was never blasphemy, only truth. I have come too far to stop now.

Additional Scenarios
The Endless Ascent
The Endless Ascent
A Hellscar burns at the summit of the defiled basilica, allowing endless hordes of demons to enter the world. Fight through its corrupted depths, ascend the tower, and hold the breach for as long as your strength endures.
A Hellscar burns at the summit of the defiled basilica, allowing endless hordes of demons to enter the world. Fight through its corrupted depths, ascend the tower, and hold the breach for as long as your strength endures.
Level 2 — Beneath the Ruins
I found a way into the sewer system beneath the ruined city. According to the surviving maps, these tunnels should pass close to the foundations of the basilica. The streets above are impassable. This is the only path left.
Level 3 — The Heat Below
The air is changing. It grows hotter and drier with every step, as if the heat comes from somewhere that should not exist beneath this city. Brick and iron are giving way to open stone. The sewers lead into caves.
Level 4 — Carved in Darkness
These caves are not natural. Their walls were cut, reinforced, and widened by human hands. Someone used this place long before the city fell. Symbols cover the stone, but they belong neither to the Church nor to any faith recognized by the Order.
Level 5 — The Stripped Dead
Human remains fill the chambers ahead. Tombs have been opened, and bones lie piled where no burial should be. Some are ancient. Others are fresh. Whatever passed through these tunnels stripped the flesh from its victims and left only the bones behind.
Level 6 — Beneath the Basilica
I have found the entrance to the catacombs beneath the basilica. Somewhere within them lies a passage into the structure above. I must find it and begin the ascent. Whatever draws the demons to this place waits at the summit.
Level 7 — No Place of Rest
These catacombs were never a place of peaceful rest. I have seen this desecration before. The Bishop used the dead in the same way. Perhaps he was not the only servant of the Church who believed the apocalypse to be the will of God.
Level 8 — Blood of the Faithful
My suspicion was correct. Human blood was gathered here and used to sustain demonic rituals. The marks, the vessels, the channels - all follow the same design I found in Blackwater. The Bishop had followers beyond his own walls.
Level 9 — Garden of Mourning
I have left the catacombs behind. What was once a garden of prayer and beauty has become a monument to death. The statues stand broken, the paths are buried beneath ash, and nothing living remains.
Level 10 — Roots Fed by Blood
The soil, the roots, and every flower are saturated with human blood. It was poured into the garden like fertilizer, feeding corruption beneath the basilica. This place was not merely defiled. It was cultivated. The entrance must be close.
Level 11 — Those Who Came Before
The entrance to the basilica stands before me, but I was not the first of the Order to reach it. Broken weapons, spent shells, and blood mark the stones. My brothers fought here. Some may have made it inside.
Level 12 — The Defiled Basilica
The basilica has been defiled. Sacred signs lie shattered, and the symbols of our faith have been carved apart or covered by blasphemous marks. Many floors rise above me. From somewhere near the summit, unnatural heat pours through the halls.
Level 13 — The Hellscar
I find the bodies of my brothers among the ruins. Their final records speak of a Hellscar opened by an ally of the Bishop - the Rector of this basilica. It is not a true gate to Hell, but it allows lesser demons to cross into our world. The Hellscar lies above.
Level 14 — Their False Salvation
The blasphemous texts reveal the Rector's purpose. He shared the Bishop's belief that the apocalypse was the will of God. For decades, they prepared what they called salvation - the liberation of civilization from sin. They believed they were not destroying mankind, but fulfilling His judgment.
Level 15 — Hell Will Find No Peace
The Rector waits in his chamber, blocking the passage to the final floor. He says my struggle is meaningless, that my death will change nothing, and that the will of God cannot be stopped. Perhaps he is right. Even so, I will give my life to hold Hell back for one more moment. My brothers follow behind me. As long as one of us remains, Hell will find no peace in this world.

The Sealed Testament
The Sealed Testament
An ancient text known as the Book of Judgments has been traced to a forgotten temple beyond the desert. Reach the sanctuary, secure the Book, and prevent its power from falling into demonic hands.
An ancient text known as the Book of Judgments has been traced to a forgotten temple beyond the desert. Reach the sanctuary, secure the Book, and prevent its power from falling into demonic hands.
Level 2 — The Cliff Road
The old path continues between towering cliffs, blocked by another ancient seal. The Crux shatters it as easily as the first, but the same corruption spreads across the land the moment it breaks. If the Testament lies ahead, I must reach it before the demons do.
Level 3 — The High Altar
At the summit stands an ancient place of worship overlooking the desert. Another seal guards the path forward, surrounded by offerings left by those who once came here to pray. Whatever knowledge they protected, the Order cannot allow it to fall into demonic hands.

Main Campaign

Act I — In the Shadow of Ruins

The world burns, and its ruins stand silent, awaiting final judgment. As the apocalypse consumes the land, only faith, forged in the fires of battle, remains. The Templar sets out on a mission with a clear purpose - to find the source of the destruction and fulfill the will of the Order. Before him lie the remnants of a fallen world, where something more than chaos and death lurks. Every step leads deeper into the darkness, where a truth long hidden from human eyes awaits.

Level 2 — The Beginning of the Hunt

The Beginning of the Hunt

The wasteland leads me toward Blackwater. The Crux weighs on my back like a final judgment. I do not know what happened here, but I must see it myself. Whatever began in this place must end with me.

Level 3 — First Blood

First Blood

I enter Blackwater. The city is dead - no bodies, no signs of struggle. Only burned streets and drifting ash. Something came here and erased everything in silence deeper than death.

Level 4 — Echoes of the Past

Echoes of the Past

Homes stand hollow, untouched, abandoned without reason. No blood, no panic. The people simply vanished. To understand what happened, I need to reach the abbey’s chapel. Answers must lie within.

Level 5 — Into the City

Into the City

Ruins stretch before me. The wind drags dust across the stones as if pointing the way. The chapel should have been a refuge. Instead, it feels like the city’s final secret. If anyone survived, I will find traces there.

Level 6 — The Last Bastion

The Last Bastion

The market square is deserted. Shattered saintly statues lie broken, undefended. Where is the bishop? He led the abbey - he should have stood against this. His absence troubles me more than the silence.

Level 7 — The Burned Chapel

The Burned Chapel

The chapel is defiled from within. Ritual marks, clawed walls, burned scriptures. This was no attack - these were preparations. The monks opened a path for something unholy. And the bishop must have known.

Level 8 — The Forbidden Sanctum

The Forbidden Sanctum

Beneath the altar I find ritual circles, blood, and blasphemous scripture. This was deliberate. The abbey summoned the demons. And the bishop - missing, unaccounted for - must have fled to the cathedral to finish what began here.

Level 9 — The Forgotten Path

The Forgotten Path

The tunnels lead me back toward the surface. Betrayal was born in these depths. If the bishop still lives, he alone can answer for what he unleashed. The cathedral is now my destination.

Level 10 — The City Center

The City Center

I emerge into an empty square. Blackwater remains silent - its people gone without trace. Only one place could have sheltered them or consumed them: the cathedral towering over the ruins. That is where the truth waits.

Level 11 — The Ruined Road

The Ruined Road

The road to the cathedral is deserted. No survivors fled this way. It is as if the city was swallowed whole. If the bishop abandoned his flock or offered them up, I will learn the reason within those walls.

Level 12 — The Silent Fields

The Silent Fields

Broken monuments line the path, their faces erased as if someone wished to wipe away all memory. I feel the echo of a prayer twisted toward the abyss. Blackwater was the first to fall. It will not be the last.

Level 13 — The Last Approach

The Last Approach

The cathedral rises like a dead titan. Its walls endure, held together by the same force that burned the city. There I will find what remains of the abbey’s faith - and the truth behind their corruption.

Level 14 — Before the Gates

Before the Gates

I stand before the massive gates. The stone trembles with dark energy. The monks’ betrayal was only the beginning. Whatever waits inside, I cannot turn away. Judgment demands entry.

Level 15 — The Cathedral

The Cathedral

A demon stands before the entrance, guardian of the ritual the abbey began. Its body burns with the same power that consumed Blackwater. To enter the cathedral and confront the truth, I must destroy it.

Act II — Reclaiming the Sanctum

The battle for the cathedral begins. Once a sacred fortress, it now stands defiled, its halls echoing with the remnants of a broken faith. Step by step, the Templar must cleanse its grounds, driving back the corruption that has taken root. But in the depths of these desecrated walls, something remains hidden - waiting to be uncovered.

Level 2 — Heart of Betrayal

Heart of Betrayal

The cathedral stands open, as if awaiting my questions. I enter to find the bishop’s chambers and learn why he betrayed the world. Redemption begins with truth.

Level 3 — Throne of the Liars

Throne of the Liars

Before the clergy’s throne, symbols twist the sacred word. Lies grew here for years. The bishop hid more than blasphemy.

Level 4 — Chapel of Broken Faith

Chapel of Broken Faith

Faith was shattered in this chapel. Burn marks and ritual traces defile every corner. Someone weaponized holiness. The bishop must have passed through here.

Level 5 — Bishop’s Chambers

Bishop’s Chambers

The chambers are ransacked, yet hidden drawers hold forbidden texts. The bishop acted with intent. He sought power not found in God.

Level 6 — Library of Heresy

Library of Heresy

The library holds records proving his contact with a demon. Page after page speaks of knowledge gained through sin. Everything leads to one ritual.

Level 7 — Chamber of Forbidden Texts

Chamber of Forbidden Texts

A massive pentagram fills the room. This is where he communed with the demon. His writings describe the Blood Ritual - and an entrance to the catacombs beneath the cemetery chapel.

Level 8 — Cathedral Courtyard

Cathedral Courtyard

I step into the courtyard. Demonic markings point in one direction. The path to the cemetery feels guarded, as if hiding something crucial.

Level 9 — Path to the Cemetery

Path to the Cemetery

The road winds through ruins. More demons gather the closer I get. All forces seem drawn to the chapel ahead.

Level 10 — Cemetery

Cemetery

The cemetery’s chapel is heavily guarded by demonic creatures. Every trail leads here. If the entrance to the catacombs exists, this is where I will find it.

Level 11 — Crypt

Crypt

Beneath the chapel lies a crypt overflowing with bones. Far more than a cemetery should hold. Layers of skulls and broken ribs form unnatural piles. There are more bodies here than there should ever be.

Level 12 — Prison of the Heretics

Prison of the Heretics

Deeper within, narrow corridors hide abandoned cells. Chains and claw marks remain. These people weren’t heretics - they were victims. Their blood served a purpose.

Level 13 — Sacrificial Chamber

Sacrificial Chamber

A sacrificial hall drenched in blood. For years, victims were slaughtered to feed the ritual. Their lives powered the bishop’s twisted design.

Level 14 — Hall of Blood

Hall of Blood

Vast stone channels guide ancient blood into reservoirs. This was no offering - it was fuel. The ritual was a machine built from suffering.

Level 15 — Hidden Passage

Hidden Passage

At the crypt’s end sits the bishop, guarding a sealed passage behind his throne. His body cracks with crimson power, his gaze fixed on me with fanatic certainty. Whatever he protects must be the heart of all this. I cannot let him stand in my way.

Act III — Catacombs of Blood

The cathedral is reclaimed, but its secrets remain. Beneath its foundations lies a hidden passage, long concealed and fiercely guarded by the Bishop. This was no place of worship, but a path leading far below the sacred walls - into depths untouched by light and forgotten by faith. Step by step, the Templar descends into the catacombs, where something older than the Church itself begins to stir. What was once hidden now calls to be uncovered.

Level 2 — The Long Descent

The Long Descent

The corridor stretches deep beneath the cathedral, older than the structures above it. These tunnels were not built by the Church. The walls carry markings I do not recognize, carved long before the abbey claimed this place.

Level 3 — The Blood Archives

The Blood Archives

I find a hidden library buried beneath layers of stone. The records speak of a secret order - the Brotherhood of Blood. They operated outside the Church, keeping knowledge that was never meant to be shared.

Level 4 — Sanctum of the First Order

Sanctum of the First Order

This was their sanctum. The Brotherhood of Blood once stood against something far worse than what I have seen. They did not just survive the first outbreak - they stopped it. The world owes its existence to them.

Level 5 — The Forbidden Language

The Forbidden Language

The writings of the Brotherhood of Blood describe what they brought back from that war. Not weapons, not relics - but a language. The language of demons. They studied it, recorded it, and used it to understand the enemy.

Level 6 — Blood as Salvation

Blood as Salvation

The Brotherhood of Blood learned that strength alone would not be enough. To close the path to hell, they used the blood of demons. It gave them the power they needed - but it came with a cost they could not control.

Level 7 — Corruption of Faith

Corruption of Faith

The blood changed them. The Brotherhood began to shift, their beliefs twisting into something else. What began as a mission to protect the world became something different. They no longer followed the same faith.

Level 8 — The First Experiments

The First Experiments

The Brotherhood began experimenting on themselves and others. New members were not recruited - they were transformed. Flesh altered, blood replaced. The order was no longer human.

Level 9 — Brother of the Abyss

Brother of the Abyss

One of the Brothers stands before me. He does not hesitate. He believes completely in what they have become. To him, the invasion of demons is not a threat - it is the only way to cleanse the world.

Level 10 — The 400-Year Cycle

The 400-Year Cycle

The records of the Brotherhood of Blood speak of a Gregorian cycle - four hundred years. The same date returns, again and again. The first breach came in 1666. Now, in 2066, the conditions align once more. This was never random.

Level 11 — Descent to the Caves

Descent to the Caves

The path leads deeper into natural caves beneath the catacombs. The ritual requires more than power - it requires the blood of the innocent. Blood tied to something older. Blood from Blackwater.

Level 12 — Harvest of Blackwater

Harvest of Blackwater

The bishop helped them. He gathered the people of Blackwater and brought them here. They were imprisoned, drained, and used. Their blood now flows through this place, feeding the ritual.

Level 13 — The Living Depths

The Living Depths

The caves begin to change. Stone gives way to something alive. The walls pulse, the ground breathes. This is no longer just a ritual site. Hell has already begun to take hold.

Level 14 — The Threshold

The Threshold

The structures ahead are not built - they are grown. Bone, flesh, and flowing blood form a single system. The air burns with heat. Whatever lies beyond this point is no longer contained.

Level 15 — The Open Gate

The Open Gate

Portal to hell stands open. Not broken, not forced - opened as intended. Two Brothers of Blood remain to guard it. If I am to stop what comes next, I must pass through them.

Act IV — Into Hell

The gate to hell stands open. Not as a wound, but as a passage. The Templar steps beyond it, leaving the world behind. This is no corruption spreading from afar - this is hell itself, whole and unbroken. The Brotherhood of Blood came here long before. They fought, endured, and fell, their remains scattered along a path that leads ever deeper. Yet they endured long enough to leave something behind. If there is a way to close the gate, it lies somewhere within this place.

Level 2 — Remains of the Brotherhood

Remains of the Brotherhood

The Brotherhood of Blood was here long before me. They entered this place centuries ago and fought the demons… but they never stood a chance. Piles of bodies, shattered armor, and broken weapons lie where they fell. This was not a retreat. This was annihilation.

Level 3 — The Camp

The Camp

I find the remains of their camp. This was not a short war, nor an easy one. The Brotherhood of Blood held their ground and endured far longer than they should have in a place that was never meant for them. From their writings, one truth becomes clear. They knew this war was unwinnable.

Level 4 — The Truth of Their Arrival

The Truth of Their Arrival

My brothers were here four hundred years ago, when the portal to hell was last opened. They found a way to close it. If I search among the bodies and what remains of their path, I may yet uncover how they succeeded.

Level 5 — The Ritual

The Ritual

The Brotherhood discovered that the portal feeds on blood, but its stability on this side depends on something far more specific. The blood of the Gatekeepers - Malach, Azrael, and Raziel. Without it, the gate cannot hold. If it is to be closed, their blood must be taken.

Level 6 — The Dividing Path

The Dividing Path

According to the notes of the Brotherhood of Blood, each of the Gatekeepers resides in a deeper Field of hell. The first lies ahead, within the Fields of the Pyre. This is where their path led them first… and where it began to fall apart.

Level 7 — Demon Blood

Demon Blood

The Brotherhood learned that demon blood could grant them strength, a chance in a war they were destined to lose. They chose to drink it. I do not need their path. The Crux on my back guides me toward truth. With its power, I will overcome whatever stands before me.

Level 8 — The False Herald

The False Herald

Malach was never meant to guard hell. His name belongs to scripture, to one who prepares the way for the Lord. Yet here he stands, shaping the fire, deciding who may pass. Perhaps this place was always part of that design.

Level 9 — The Keeper of the Pyre

The Keeper of the Pyre

The being speaks. It was given its purpose by its Lord, to open the way for those allowed to pass. The fire bends to its will, clearing the path or sealing it shut. If I am to go deeper, I must defeat the one who guards the gate.

Level 10 — The Bound Souls

The Bound Souls

The flames withdraw, revealing the path into the Fields of Judgment. I move with caution. The walls are not stone alone. Shapes remain within them, twisted and still. Souls bound into silent forms, as if something here decided they could go no further.

Level 11 — The Angel of Death

The Angel of Death

Azrael. I remember his name from scripture. The Angel of Death, meant to guide souls to the other side. He should not be here. Why does an angel stand in hell? Does he still serve the will of God even in this place?

Level 12 — Held by Death

Held by Death

I must go deeper, but Azrael holds the path. He was meant to guide the dead, not face the living. Bringing him down will not be easy. He endures far beyond anything I have faced. Only the Crux remains. It must be enough.

Level 13 — Sanctuary Below

Sanctuary Below

The path leads to a sanctuary. Its form is familiar, like the churches of our world… or their origin. This place should be unholy. Yet the presence I feel here is not absence, but something far stronger.

Level 14 — The Keeper of Knowledge

The Keeper of Knowledge

Raziel is close. An archangel, keeper of knowledge and wisdom. If he stands this deep, then the truth lies below. Yet what unsettles me most is this presence. My Crux trembles with power. I should not feel this in hell… yet I do.

Level 15 — The Archangel

The Archangel

An archangel stands before me, not a demon. The presence of God fills this place. It should not be here, yet it is undeniable. If the Bishop and the Brotherhood were right… then this was never blasphemy, only truth. I have come too far to stop now.

Additional Scenarios

The Endless Ascent

A Hellscar burns at the summit of the defiled basilica, allowing endless hordes of demons to enter the world. Fight through its corrupted depths, ascend the tower, and hold the breach for as long as your strength endures.

Level 2 — Beneath the Ruins

Beneath the Ruins

I found a way into the sewer system beneath the ruined city. According to the surviving maps, these tunnels should pass close to the foundations of the basilica. The streets above are impassable. This is the only path left.

Level 3 — The Heat Below

The Heat Below

The air is changing. It grows hotter and drier with every step, as if the heat comes from somewhere that should not exist beneath this city. Brick and iron are giving way to open stone. The sewers lead into caves.

Level 4 — Carved in Darkness

Carved in Darkness

These caves are not natural. Their walls were cut, reinforced, and widened by human hands. Someone used this place long before the city fell. Symbols cover the stone, but they belong neither to the Church nor to any faith recognized by the Order.

Level 5 — The Stripped Dead

The Stripped Dead

Human remains fill the chambers ahead. Tombs have been opened, and bones lie piled where no burial should be. Some are ancient. Others are fresh. Whatever passed through these tunnels stripped the flesh from its victims and left only the bones behind.

Level 6 — Beneath the Basilica

Beneath the Basilica

I have found the entrance to the catacombs beneath the basilica. Somewhere within them lies a passage into the structure above. I must find it and begin the ascent. Whatever draws the demons to this place waits at the summit.

Level 7 — No Place of Rest

No Place of Rest

These catacombs were never a place of peaceful rest. I have seen this desecration before. The Bishop used the dead in the same way. Perhaps he was not the only servant of the Church who believed the apocalypse to be the will of God.

Level 8 — Blood of the Faithful

Blood of the Faithful

My suspicion was correct. Human blood was gathered here and used to sustain demonic rituals. The marks, the vessels, the channels - all follow the same design I found in Blackwater. The Bishop had followers beyond his own walls.

Level 9 — Garden of Mourning

Garden of Mourning

I have left the catacombs behind. What was once a garden of prayer and beauty has become a monument to death. The statues stand broken, the paths are buried beneath ash, and nothing living remains.

Level 10 — Roots Fed by Blood

Roots Fed by Blood

The soil, the roots, and every flower are saturated with human blood. It was poured into the garden like fertilizer, feeding corruption beneath the basilica. This place was not merely defiled. It was cultivated. The entrance must be close.

Level 11 — Those Who Came Before

Those Who Came Before

The entrance to the basilica stands before me, but I was not the first of the Order to reach it. Broken weapons, spent shells, and blood mark the stones. My brothers fought here. Some may have made it inside.

Level 12 — The Defiled Basilica

The Defiled Basilica

The basilica has been defiled. Sacred signs lie shattered, and the symbols of our faith have been carved apart or covered by blasphemous marks. Many floors rise above me. From somewhere near the summit, unnatural heat pours through the halls.

Level 13 — The Hellscar

The Hellscar

I find the bodies of my brothers among the ruins. Their final records speak of a Hellscar opened by an ally of the Bishop - the Rector of this basilica. It is not a true gate to Hell, but it allows lesser demons to cross into our world. The Hellscar lies above.

Level 14 — Their False Salvation

Their False Salvation

The blasphemous texts reveal the Rector's purpose. He shared the Bishop's belief that the apocalypse was the will of God. For decades, they prepared what they called salvation - the liberation of civilization from sin. They believed they were not destroying mankind, but fulfilling His judgment.

Level 15 — Hell Will Find No Peace

Hell Will Find No Peace

The Rector waits in his chamber, blocking the passage to the final floor. He says my struggle is meaningless, that my death will change nothing, and that the will of God cannot be stopped. Perhaps he is right. Even so, I will give my life to hold Hell back for one more moment. My brothers follow behind me. As long as one of us remains, Hell will find no peace in this world.

The Sealed Testament

An ancient text known as the Book of Judgments has been traced to a forgotten temple beyond the desert. Reach the sanctuary, secure the Book, and prevent its power from falling into demonic hands.

Level 2 — The Cliff Road

The Cliff Road

The old path continues between towering cliffs, blocked by another ancient seal. The Crux shatters it as easily as the first, but the same corruption spreads across the land the moment it breaks. If the Testament lies ahead, I must reach it before the demons do.

Level 3 — The High Altar

The High Altar

At the summit stands an ancient place of worship overlooking the desert. Another seal guards the path forward, surrounded by offerings left by those who once came here to pray. Whatever knowledge they protected, the Order cannot allow it to fall into demonic hands.

Level 4 — Mouth of the Deep

Mouth of the Deep

The trail disappears beneath the sands, ending at the mouth of a vast cave. A fourth seal blocks the entrance below. Each one I destroy opens the way forward, yet each leaves behind the same strange influence.

Level 5 — Beneath the Sands

Beneath the Sands

The caves stretch far beneath the desert, shaped into passages long before the ruins above were abandoned. Near another seal I find traces of an old expedition bearing the mark of the Brotherhood of Blood. They came here seeking the same knowledge we now pursue.

Level 6 — Glory of Darkness

Glory of Darkness

The deeper chambers were once used for worship, but not in any form I recognize. Brotherhood records speak of an older Order that guarded the Testament and forbade access to its writings. If they understood what was hidden here, their records may be as valuable as the Book itself.

Level 7 — The Great Gate

The Great Gate

The caves end before enormous gates buried beneath the desert. The Brotherhood reached this place centuries ago, studied what they found, and chose to leave the inner sanctuary sealed. Whatever stopped them lies beyond these doors.

Level 8 — The Last Custodian

The Last Custodian

Buried chambers lie beyond the gate, filled with the remains of those who once protected this place. The tomb of the last Custodian is surrounded by warnings against opening the Testament. They did not fear someone stealing its knowledge. They feared the knowledge itself.

Level 9 — Halls of Hatred

Halls of Hatred

The temple corridors are lined with cursed statues whose eyes follow every step. The surviving inscriptions describe punishments written under Divine Judgment and preserved within the Testament. With nine seals broken, their influence is already escaping into the sanctuary.

Level 10 — The Sealed Testament

The Sealed Testament

The highest chamber holds the Testament, bound by the final seal. Its pages contain countless Divine Punishments, preserved as more than simple records. Ophaniel stands before the Book, guarding the last barrier between its knowledge and the outside world.
